 DrishtiDr. Pasad Akella

Speaker Bio

Dr. Prasad Akella, founder and chairman of the Drishti board, is creating his third massive market category that uses technology to extend human capabilities. In the 1990s, Prasad led the General Motors team that built the world’s first collaborative robots (“cobots,” projected to be a $12B market by 2025). In the early 2000s, as cofounder of the social networking pioneer Spoke, he envisioned and helped build the first massive social graph — a category now worth trillions. Today, at Drishti, he is working to combine the cognition of AI with the flexibility of humans in factories in the form of AI-powered production.

Parking instructions

The parking garage is located directly off Ransom Street between Lyon and Fountain.  It is an underground structure located beneath the Applied Technology Center.  There is a blue/white sign next to the entrance that states, “Ferris Employee Parking.”

When first entering the parking garage under the ATC off Ransom Street, you will come up to the parking gate in which after a short delay will open without needing a parking card. Next turn left, if the second set of gates are open, otherwise, turn right (if unbarricaded) and find an available spot.  Then enter the building from the central bank of doors located in the middle of the parking structure.

Take the elevator to the first floor.  When you step out of the elevator, look to your right.  You will see the Ferris sign.  Walk around the elevator bank through the atrium then down the FSU hallway.  Auditorium is room number ATC168.

Please free to connect with Mohamed Abusharkh at mohamedAbusharkh@ferris.edu for parking details or if you prefer a map.
