Dear IEEE Member,

As IEEE Kerala Section steps into 2016, we are reminded of the flamboyant milestones we set, back in 2015. Along with being adjudged the "Outstanding IEEE Section in the World", we had a lot other achievements being attained, all thanks to the vibrant bunch of volunteers and members in our Kerala Community.

During the Annual General Meet of IEEE Kerala Section, held on 09 Jan 2016 at Trivandrum, the achievements of some of these volunteers/members/organizations were recognized, for their exceptional services to the IEEE Kerala Community.

The Special Award Winners for 2015 are as – 

• Friend of IEEE Kerala – Academy- Rajagiri School of Engineering & Technology : In recognition of the whole-hearted support towards IEEE activities, extending warm hospitality and sharing excellent infrastructure facilities to host high impact events, including AISYC 2015.
  
  
• Friend of IEEE Kerala– Government- Kerala State IT Mission : In recognition of support extended to IEEE, for conducting various professional activities and providing a platform for public policy initiatives on Digital Kerala & IT implementation.

Two Special Recognitions put in place on special recommendation by the Section Chair were also announced –

• Special Appreciation - Exceptional design services to IEEE Kerala Section – Mr. Bibin P Thomas : In grateful recognition of exceptional design services that have made various Section events stand out in the visual appeal of collateral, backdrops and other artifacts.
  
  
• Special Appreciation - Outstanding contributions to conference activities – Mr.Senthilkumar KB : In grateful recognition of outstanding contributions to conference activities of the Section, including successful organizing of three successive editions of IEEE RAICS Conference.

• Outstanding Volunteer Student WiE - Ms. Pooja M (CET Trivandrum)
• Outstanding Student Branch - IEEE SB-College of Engineering Trivandrum 
• Outstanding Student Branch Counselor - Dr Anzar S M (MES College of Engineering) 
• Outstanding Volunteer – Industry - Dr K R Suresh Nair 
• Outstanding Volunteer – Humanitarian Technology- Ms. Parvathi Thampi
