講演題目：無線通信技術におけるベイズ統計の活用

講演概要：人工知能や機械学習を含め、様々な分野でベイズ統計の活用が普及している。ベイズ統計の魅力の一つはその柔軟性にあり、伝統的な統計学に比べて様々な利点を持っている。無線通信技術でもベイズ統計の活用は広がりを見せており、本講演では大規模MIMOにおける信号検出例を通じて、ベイズ統計の利点や活用の際のポイントをまとめる。

Title: Application of Bayesian statistics in wireless communication technology

Abstract:
The application of Bayesian statistics has become increasingly popular in a number of fields, including artificial intelligence and machine learning. One of the attractions of the Bayesian statistic lies in its flexibility, and it has various advantages over the traditional statistic. Applying Bayesian statistics to wireless communication technology is also expanding, and this talk summarizes the advantages of Bayesian statistics and the key points of its use through an example of signal detection in a large-scale MIMO system.
Biography:
He received the B.E., M.E., and Ph.D. degrees from Hokkaido University, Sapporo, Japan, in 1990, 1992, and 2016, respectively. He joined the Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation in April 1992 and transferred to NTT Mobile Communications Network, Inc. (currently NTT DOCOMO, INC.) in July 1992. Later, he became involved in the research and development of mobile communication systems. His current research interests are in the application of stochastic theory to the communication domain. He is currently a visiting professor at Hokkaido University.
