IEEE WIE Bangalore Section in association with IEEE Bangalore Section and India Council with IBM India Private Limited as technical partner is organising Ada Lovelace Day Celebrations Hackathon on AI-based Poetry (Sonnet) generation for Students.

The hackathon is a team based event with a minimum of 2 students and a maximum of 4 students (all above 16 years). Atleast 50 % of members of the team should be girls and also at least 50% must be IEEE WIE members (BOYS OR GIRLS). The teams should engineer a code to generate a Poem based on the context.

The hackathon will have preliminary and final rounds. In the preliminary round participating teams will be given text data using which they are required to submit a Model with the Training & Test Dataset used and a methodology with a detailed solution document. Shortlisted teams will be called for an online final round where the teams will be provided with an image dataset and are expected to build an AI model to decipher the context of each of these images and use this context to generate a poem. They shall need to check for plagiarism by developing a tool for it. An online workshop will be organized for shortlisted teams before the finals. In finals, each shortlisted team will be evaluated by a LIVE online presentation followed by a demonstration and a short Q&A for a duration of 20 minutes and solution will be evaluated based on test data (image/text) by Jury of technologists and a poet. Judges will evaluate the participants based on the results of both rounds and declare the winners.
