Dear IEEE members,

Effective from August 16, 2020, the IEEE Consumer Electronics Society (CESoc) will be renamed as IEEE Consumer Technology Society (CTSoc). The name change is being done to respond and reflect on the dynamic changes in the industry.

The Society’s field of interest has become highly multidisciplinary over the years. CTSoc will continue to be an important source of information on new and emerging technologies. Our society covers the below technologies

• Human-machine interaction and user experience.
• Machine learning, deep learning and AI in smart devices.
• Virtual reality, augmented reality, artificial reality (touchless devices technology).
• Smart audio/video system and facial precognition.
• Smartphones and mobile devices.
• Smart sensors and wearable devices

It is also recommended to visit the Society website https://cesoc.ieee.org and https://ewh.ieee.org/r10/bangalore/ces. The redesigning process has started, and it has new content and useful information and resources. 

Let us work together to keep our Society successful and vibrant.

Note: For the year 2020, the CT Society Membership fee is already 50% discounted for full members as well as for students.

In addition, next year for 2021, student membership fees will be only $1
