IEEE IAS SBC RIT is one of the high performing student branch chapters under Kerala Section which boasts of the legacy of being the first SBC in the Region 10 (Asia-Pacific Region).

The Chapter was revived in 2019 after a 6 year long period of dormancy and has been organising and actively presenting events and opportunities for it's members.
Many technical events like workshop on transistors, technical talks, hackathons, quizes etc are being conducted.The SBC also has numerous achievements including travel grants to international conferences.
