Being an engineer, do you want to contribute and fight COVID19 Pandemic? Here is an opportunity to participate in the IEEE India COVID MOVE Online Hackathon Challenge. 

IEEE India COVID MOVE is inviting individuals/ teams from industry, startups, academia (including students) to participate in a 4-day online hackathon challenge to jointly develop some of the innovative solutions of unmet needs and problems due to outbreak of the COVID19 Pandemic. The participants can be from engineering college, university, faculty from engineering, medical, economics, MBA and law firms. 

This Hackathon challenge is open to all teams and individuals all over India. The teams are expected to solve one of the challenges identified by the experts in the field of medical, biotechnology, biomedical, law enforcement and economics to fight against the terror of COVID19. The major outcome expected from this challenge is for a design solution that is scalable, faster solution and easily replicable to cater to the current global need. 

The theme/ areas of innovations are as follows (will be modified after day 1)

  1. Low-cost ventilators

  2. Low-cost masks to capture virus from the air and absorb respiratory droplets

  3. Cost-effective, customizable and non-contact Thermal Scanning

  4. Large area sanitization and sterilization 

  5. Bioinformatics and Surveillance

  6. Solutions for contact-less life

  7. Economic Slowdown

  8. Law enforcement for prevention/precaution

  9. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

The schedule for the challenge is as follows

Minus to day zero - Registration stops

Day 1: Online webinar-based Discussion with experts/mentors on elaborating on the problems and expectations. The team will finalize the challenge to hack.

Day 2: Team will start building solutions virtually and also seek help from mentors if required for effective solution building and timely submission.

Day 3: Team will make a pitch deck and a technical document for submission. Submission closes at 9 PM.

Day 4: Shortlisted teams will be announced and invited for a public open online pitch. Winners will be announced.
