Greeting from IEEE R10 Conference and Technical Seminar Coordinator 2015-2016 !!!

IEEE Region 10 (Asia – Pacific) thanks you for being the member of IEEE elite knowledge group. IEEE R10 organizes many activities/events in the region for the benefit of IEEE members and non-members and many of us are not aware of these. Being IEEE R10 Conference and Technical Seminar Coordinator, 2015-2016, I wish to inform you about the R10 flagship conferences/congress organized in our region. These are TENCON, TENSYMP, R10-HumanitarianTechnology Conference (R10 -HTC) and Student Young Professionals Women in Engineering Congress (SYWC). The conferences are technical events where the papers are presented and uploaded in IEEE Xplore digital library while the congress is a training ground for the members to improve their technical as well as professional skills. These events also
• provide a platform to share and discuss your ideas through papers, exhibitions, plenary talks, tutorials, etc.
• connect you to the renowned personalities in the respective field of Engineering & Technology.
• upgrade your knowledge and skills in new and emerging technology and research.
• provide opportunity to update with the new innovations and products through the exhibition, etc.
• polish your interpersonal and professional skills with the guidance of leaders
• boost the inspiration to become an IEEE volunteer for advancing the Technology for humanity and so on.
The brief descriptions of these conferences/events are given below:
1. TENCON: It is one of the prestigious events of R10 which was started in 1991. In its 15 years of journey, this conference has been organized in many parts of Asia-Pacific with a great success. The scope of this conference is very wide covering all the fields of Engineering and Technology. In 2015, it is going to be held in Macau during Nov. 1-4, 2015.
2. TENSYMP was started in 2013 as TENCON (spring) and in 2014, it was renamed as TENSYMP which is normally organized in March-June every year. It is a theme (specialized) based conference. In 2015, it was held in Ahmadabad during May 13-15, 2015.
3. R10 Humanitarian Technology Conference (R10-HTC) is a cross disciplinary conference that focuses on development and application of technology for the benefit of humanity. It was started in 2013 and generally organized in the 4rth Quarter of the year. In 2015, it is going to be held in Philippines during December 9-12, 2015.
4. SYWC is Student, Young professional and Women in Engineering concentric congress. Dates are flexible. It is R10 supported event and financial support is approved by R10 Director in the range of USD 20K to 35K. In 2015, it is going to be held in Colombo during July 9-12, 2015.

An email has already been sent to the Chairman of each section of R10 for showing the interest to host these events.
