Os re-envío información sobre una competición dirigida a estudiantes de ingeniería eléctrica y electrónica cuyos premios se darán en el próximo congreso PESA 2015 en Hong Kong, organizada por el comité de educación de Transportation and Electrification Community del IEEE en el que participa nuestro compañero Pablo Arboleya (de la Universidad de Oviedo). The student competition on electric transportation design - automotive, vessel and aircraft is a new initiative organized by Education Committee, IEEE TransportationElectrification Community (TEC), and jointly organized with the 6th InternationalConference on Power Electronics Systems and Application (PESA) 2015.

We welcome your design based on electrical means to power a transportation unit/system The design includes, but not limited to:

• Electric vehicle
• Electric vessel
• Electric train
• Electric aircraft
• Electric spacecraft
• Hybrid vehicle/vessel/aircraft
• Vertical transportation

Your design will describe your transportation unit/system that leads to an engineering prototype or product. Successful design will be selected according to the performance in efficiency, travelling distance per charge, cost, robustness, appearance, research and commercial values.

A student from an institution may enter the competition. Your design should be presented in form of a technical paper like in IEEE format. You will be requested to present in the conference.

Prize and certificate will be awarded to the winners of the contest :

1st prize: US$ 2,500

2nd prize: US$ 1,500

3rd prize: US$ 500

The event will be organized with the 6th International Conference on Power Electronics Systems and Applications that will be held in December 2015 in Hong Kong. The conference is also sponsored by IEEE. This three-day conference focuses on the recent research and the industrial projects of electric transportation based on power electronics and related technology

Notification of Acceptance 15 November 2015

Announcement of the winner 16 December 2015
