Professional Development Program-Factory Visit to: "BHEL/ Heavy Power Equipment Plant (HPEP)" / Ramachandrapuram, Hyderabad and Lecture on "Electrical Machines for Power Plants & Industries".

1. A) Brief Details about this Program:

IEEE--PES/IAS/PELS Jt. Chapter, IEEE-Hyderabad Section Jointly with Industrial Relations Committee (IRC), IEEE-Hyderabad Section, in association with M/s Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd. (BHEL), is organizing this Professional Development Program. We invite participation by Industry Professionals, Faculty in Academic Institutions and B.Tech Students. In this program the participants will be able know about the latest Technologies being used in a Factory Manufacturing "Electrical Machines for Power Plants & Industries", like Turbo Alternators/ Electric Motors. Also, they will  practically see the contemporary state-of-the art manufacturing & automation technologies at work.

Brief details of the Major Topics that will be covered in the above Lecture and during the factory shop floor visit are as follows: 

The Topics that will be covered are various aspects of design/ manufacturing/ testing  of  "Electrical Machines for Power Plants & Industries".

The participants will see how these Electrical Machines are designed and manufactured in BHEL, Hyderabad

1. B) Registration Details :

1-A) For ALL Participants (Including IEEE-Members) On-Line Registration is Mandatory. (This is essential for Logistics) All Participants are requested to Register On-Line through the link provided in the eNotice ONLY.

Note: This PDP is ONLY for IEEE-Members and IEEE-Student Members. 

1-B) Limit for Total Participants= 30 Nos./ Consisting of IEEE-Members=20 Nos./ IEEE-Student Members=10 Nos.

Note: If any vacancy arises due to less IEEE-Members Registering, then more IEEE-Student Members will be accepted, subject to a Maximum of  Total Student-IEEE-Members=25 Nos.  

In view of the above, initially we will register IEEE-Student Members of 25 Nos., but final confirmed no. will be decided as above. For giving  opportunity for various colleges, attempt will be made to select a maximum of  2Nos. of participants from one college. If registration is from less no. of colleges, then more no. of students from one college will be selected as far as possible.

So, Pl. Register as soon as possible.   

2) Confirmation of  Registration Acceptance:

This will be intimated by email/ SMS to the Accepted Persons who registered till close of Registration time.  

In case of any difficulty,  Pl. contact the designated person listed in the below sections.

Note: We have to send ALL the Registered candidates Names & their Organization affiliation details / Designations to BHEL authorities, well before the visit.

After scrutiny of the list, BHEL authorities will send us an approved list of candidates who can visit the factory. Based on the receipt of this list, we will give confirmation of acceptance of Registration for the BHEL permitted participants.

3) Pl. Quote Your Registration Confirmation No. at the Reception Counter in the Pickup Venue  and  Fill ALL the required details there. This is Mandatory.

Note: Pl. Submit a Proof of ID issued by College/ professional organization that you are belonging. This will be required to be submitted to BHEL Authorities at the time of entry to their Factory.

Also, show your IEEE-Membership ID to The IEEE-Coordinators for verification of IEEE-Membership No. 

4-1) Registration Fee : 600/= (This Includes Transport ONLY. Light Snacks will be Provided after the Visit, in the Return Trip).

Transport will be provided from a Designated Boarding Point in the City. All Participants must Travel by the Vehicle provided Only. This is for Smooth Coordination of Logistics and Factory Entry. No Direct Arrival at Factory by Personal Transport will be accepted.
