IEEE SPS Chapter, Uttar Pradesh Section

I am sending the meeting report of the first Indian SPS Chapter’s Congress held at DAIICT Gandhinagar. The event was a new initiative and an attempt to make the Indian Signal Processing Chapters unified. In the meeting, many resolutions have been taken, which may impact the SIGNAL processing Related activities in the future.

On behalf of the SPS chapter, I attended the meeting.

I am sure that many of us are organizing many technical and professional activities throughout the year, but due to communication gap, we are unable to extract the maximum benefit out of it. So all of us should also plan some signal processing related activities in the section and keep informing each other so that the members may get some benefits out of it. 

In this process,

1. I propose to form a Whatsapp group of IEEE SPS UP Chapter for better and fast connectivity. My Whatsapp no is 9792836413. All of you are requested to send Whatapp details for joining this group.

2. I invite all of you to communicate the signal processing related activities if conducted recently of planning to organize in the future. These activities shall be reported to IEEE Vtools for better visibility.

3. I request all the members to advise, How the SPS Chapter can be made vibrant and visible.

4. Promote the SPS membership among your students as the SPS has reduced the Student membership to $1 only.

I hope to make this chapter more vibrant and visible.
