Reminder: CONECCT-2019 : First Call for Participation

The 2019 edition of CONECCT, the flagship conference of IEEE Bangalore Section, has now been announced! Please visit the conference website. The conference is now accepting submissions of original manuscripts, tutorial proposals, and proposals for special sessions! There are four technical tracks in the conference and each of them will feature invited talks, tutorials, special sessions, and technical paper presentations.  The last date for submission is 30 April, 2019.

(a)   Manuscripts – The manuscripts must report original research carried out by the authors and must not have been published in other forums. The manuscripts will undergo peer-review and accepted papers will be archived on IEEE Xplore.  Authors must not identify themselves in the manuscript.

(b)  Tutorials – Tutorials can be 1-hr to 6-hrs in duration. It is expected that the tutorial speakers are experts in the field. Priority will be given to tutorials in hot topics of research. The proposal must bring out the outline of the tutorial, the importance of the area, intended audience.  Up to 3 speakers may collaborate to deliver a tutorial. Please include the biographies of the speakers and what each speaker will talk about.

(c)   Special Sessions – Special Sessions have been created to provide a forum to discuss hot topics of research. An industry expert or an academic professional may submit a proposal for a special session. It is expected that the coordinator(s) of the session will use their contacts to bring expert speakers to talk in the session. Each special session will be 90 minutes in duration. The time can be utilized for embedded tutorials as well as paper presentations. If the coordinators wish the papers and embedded tutorials to be included in IEEE Xplore, they must ensure that the submitting authors will also submit a manuscript to CONECCT-2019. These manuscripts will undergo peer-review. If an accepted special session proposal was created without peer-reviews and the presentations are based on invitation, such submissions will not be included in IEEE Xplore.

(d)  Registration: It is expected that at least one author from each submitted paper will register and attend the conference to present the paper.  Registration details will be announced soon.

(e)   There will also be a poster session at the conference. Papers accepted for poster session will not be archived in IEEE Xplore.

(f)   Please contact the Technical Program Chair for any questions about submissions.

(g) Sponsorships: There will be opportunities for organizations to sponsor the event and/or showcase their work in exhibit booths. Please contact the General Chair for details.
