Greetings From IEEE PESIT South Campus Student Branch,

The IEEE PESIT South Campus Student Branch and its WiE chapter, would like to bring to your attention, our Techno-Humanitarian event.

Kalpana is a one day Technical Exhibition cum Humanitarian event of the Student Branch WiE chapter, with the motive of empowering women in the fields of Science and Engineering. Following last year's mammoth success with a massive number of ideas and brilliant showcases, we return this year, with the same core principles, and greater enthusiasm.

Kalpana | Exhibition : A Project Exhibition that provides a platform for students to solve real world problems that currently plague the society. Engineering undergraduate students across Karnataka can register and showcase their projects.

Best Project Overall : ₹20,000/-*
Runner up : ₹10,000/-*

As an event under WiE, we value and motivate women to enter into the field of Science and Technology, which is why an Encouragement Award* for the 'Best All Girls Team' has been instituted.

Non-IEEE Members : ₹200/-

Kalpana | Humanitarian : More than 80 students from an underdeveloped government high school (9th and 10th grade) in Bangalore will be invited and delivered talks by experienced speakers regarding their career and future. This is done in order to encourage and motivate them to complete their formal education after high school, which is pivotal to the advancement of the society. The registration money we get will be used to provide food and stationery for the government school students for the day.

The last day for online registration is set for 19th of August, 2018, and synopses shall be accepted till 22nd of August, 2018. The format for the synopses, the template and an example are attached with the mail. We hope you believe in the same spirit of giving back to the community as we do and participate in Kalpana, 2018.
