Dear IEEE member,

Our latest event, Raving Academics, is on soon! Come seize this amazing opportunity to listen to three of our most Raving Academics rant about their passion for making things move. For those who missed out on coming last year, this event involves three academics speaking for 15 minutes each on something they are particularly passionate about. There is plenty of time for questions, and there's a chance to talk to everyone over Toto pizza afterwards!

This year's theme is "Moving Forward", and our speakers are will be:

Dr John Cater of Engineering Science, speaking on  "Opportunities for NZ in Space - developing a local space systems industry, based on small satellite technologies".

Professor Grant Covic of Electrical and Computer Engineering, speaking on "Powering future Electric Vehicles - without wires".

Dr Eva Hakensson of Mechanical Engineering, speaking on "World speed records, 3D printed motorcycles, and why engineers are superheroes!"

 Date: Monday 30th April 2018

Time: 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Location Auckland University : 302-620 (in the big science study area)
