Dear Sir/Madam,
DICE-Information and Enabling Technologies (IET) Innovation event is one of the major initiatives of COMSATS Institute of Information Technology (CIIT) and DICE Foundation and has been conducted every year since 2007. The idea behind the event is to motivate academia, industry, government, entrepreneurs and expatriates to come to a common platform to showcase innovations and technologies, share knowledge and further collaborate for the rapid development of innovative products for the economic development of the country. The event will take place on 15-16 December, 2017 at CIIT, Lahore.
You are cordially invited to join the event and it is also requested to kindly spread the word among your faculty members, researchers, and students to actively participate in the event. There is a handsome prize money of Rs.200,000/- for innovative undergraduate student projects.
DICE 2017 seeks to bring together projects that represent innovation and collaboration with the industry on competitive basis. This competition will not only motivate students to bring forward practical ideas representing digital innovation, but would also provide a platform for students and supervisors to meet and have an intellectual discourse. In addition to this competition, we will also arrange a number of talks by industry insiders and creative researchers from academia that would elucidate technical areas with practical relevance to today’s competitive world.
The event aims to meet the following objectives:
- To foster culture of Innovation and Entrepreneurship in the country.
- To establish strong ties between academia and IET industry and provide a common platform for educational institutions, government agencies, entrepreneurs, and expatriates to share knowledge and collaborate on areas of common interest.
- To create a positive and favorable image of Pakistan’s IET industry in the eyes of international community through any products potentially aimed for international market.
- To speed up technology revolution in Pakistan by motivating both academia and industry to coordinate over the use of technology for rapid development of IET products.
