CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS -
IEEE KOCHI SUBSECTION & KMM SHORT FILM FESTIVAL

Dear IEEE Kochi Subsection Members,

IEEE Kochi Subsection has partnered with the Kochi Metro Malayalam Short Film Festival 2014, as their Technical Partner for the event. The short film festival is the first major platform for the propagation of Shreshta Bhasha Malayalam project and will be held in the last week of December from 26th-30th. Padmashri Bharat Mohanlal is the Chairman of the Fest and Shri Ravindhar, the Director.

IEEE Kochi Subsection and the organizers of the Film Fest would like to invite interested students to be part of the volunteering team, for the film fest. The interested students are requested to register at the link given below.

All students selected will be first trained in handling the various sections of the Festival, ranging from technical to administration to event coordination. Interested students are requested to ensure complete participation in the training and coordination sessions and be present on days of the event.

The event provides a unique opportunity to understand the bridging between Cinema and Technology and the role Science has played in the development of cinema over the years. The Film Fest would also be accompanied by Showcasing of engineering projects associated with the technology used in the Cinema field and various sessions on “Science in Cinema”.
