I. Advances in Electron Devices
Technological and scientific progress in the field of Micro-Nanoelectronics has been a key driver for fascinating integration and miniaturization of electronic gadgets that we see around. Till the first decade of this century, things were mostly driven by technological breakthroughs in Silicon and up to certain extent SiGe and GaAs technologies. However, since the beginning of this decade, with the discovery of newer materials like Graphene, Transition Metal Dichalcogenides or similar 2D materials and Gallium Nitride, the future of electronics appears to be different. Keeping these trends in mind, we solicit brief research papers in the following topics related recent advancement in following areas related to electron device in general.

II. CPS/IoT
Cyber-Physical Systems and Internet of Things technologies promise to transform our societies in the near future, just like the internet did a couple of decades back. The potential of being able to connect any “thing” to the internet, will open up new degrees of freedom to optimize and engineer large scale systems. The science of cyber-physical systems will enable developing systematic approaches to engineer such large scale systems using advances in modeling, simulation, analysis and control in conjunction with IoT based connectivity solutions, software systems and sensing & actuation technologies. This special track in the IEEE Connect conference will focus on bringing together researchers and experts from academia and industry to share their recent research results and learnings in this domain and will hopefully further inspire new work in this area. We have put together an technical committee consisting of experts from academia and industry to curate the contributions and set up an exciting and enriching technical program in this track. We solicit brief research papers in the following topics related to the foundations and applications of CPS/IoT.

III. Computer Science and Big Data
Digital world is the flavour of present technological season. Digital technologies have permeated deeply into all aspects of our private and public life, which in fact is likely to increase in near future. This has created and will continue to create a great amount of digital data. To process large and complex data sets, traditional data processing applications and algorithms are not adequate. On the other hand approach to analyze big data and the efficiency involved has huge impact on the digital world and user experience. The major challenges faced includes visualization, searching data, capturing data, data creation, analyzing data, storing data, sharing data, transferring data and information privacy. This growth in amount of data with growing use of digital technologies is driving a strong need for scalable, parallel and online algorithms as well as machine learning models that can handle the volume of data involved or generated. At the same time there is also a need to create digital infrastructure to store and analyse it automatically. Keeping this background in mind, we solicit brief research papers in the following topics related to the Big Data and Computer Science.

Preparation of Full Papers
I. Papers Must Clearly State
- The purpose of the work
- The manner and degree to which it advances the art
- Specific new results that have been obtained and their significance
The degree to which the paper deals with these issues will strongly affect whether the paper is accepted. The most common cause of rejection of submitted papers is a lack of specific results. Only work that has not been previously published at the time of the conference will be considered. Paper acceptance will be based solely on the information provided on the four page paper submitted. Promises of upcoming results will be ignored.
II. Electronic Submission
Only electronic submissions will be accepted. Do not email files or mail hard copies to the conference office. In order for your paper to receive a full review, the following information MUST be entered on the website along with your submission:
- Title of paper
- Name, complete mailing address and phone, and email of first author
- Names, affiliations, city, state, country of additional authors
- Person to whom correspondence should be sent, if other than the first author
- Suggested area (as listed in this announcement) into which the paper fits
- 50 word abstract
III. Papers Must Include
- Title of paper
- Name, complete mailing address, phone, and email of first author and name, affiliation, city, state and country of additional authors
- Page size: 8-1/2” x 11” format, describing the planned 15-minute paper and emphasizing the findings. The font size for the body of the text and in figures and captions must be as per IEEE Format (10 point)
- Excessive photo reduction of figures and poor legibility will negatively impact acceptance
- Please avoid the use of special international fonts
IV. 50 Word Web Page Abstract
This abstract is a brief synopsis (50 words) of your paper. Accepted 50-word abstracts will be used in preparing the CONECCT web pages. The abstract should be prepared and inserted into the appropriate text box marked Summary for the 50-word abstract on the submission website. DO NOT INCLUDE the 50-word abstract as a separate page with your submission.
Notification of Acceptance
Authors of accepted papers will be notified by 30th Nov. 2017. The accepted paper will be get peer reviewed inputs. It is mandatory for authors to extend their papers as per review / reviewer expectations and inputs received. Publication in the conference proceedings in no way precludes later publication of a fuller account of the work in another journal, but NO PUBLICATION is acceptable before the conference. The paper must be presented at the conference by one of the listed authors.
Student Presentation of Papers Encouraged
Papers presented by students and based on their own work will be considered for the Best Student Paper Award. The paper must be identified as a student paper at the time of submission. The award is based on both the paper and the presentation which must be given by the student. The award will be announced and presented at the closing ceremony of CONECCT 2018.
