Application of Natural Fibre Composites in Aerospace Industry

Application of Natural Fibre Composites in Aerospace Industry
In this event Dr Parnia wants to build a bridge between nanotechnology and aerospace industry by reviewing the natural fibre composites electrical and mechanical properties and their application in aerospace industry. Natural fibre composites have been used and developed in the production of different industrial products due to mechanical properties, biodegradability, environmental sustainability, and they can be compared with glass fibres. The main goals in aerospace industry are to reduce the cost, carbon dioxide emission and fuel consumption. Therefore, application of natural fibres as reinforcement polymer composites has attracted broad attention in aircraft industry because of reducing cost, weight and vibrations. However, working with these materials has some challenges that will be described in this seminar. In addition, the various types of natural fibres reinforced composites will be explained and compared with the newest green composite applied in the aircraft.
