IEEE Latin America & the Caribbean Semiconductor Summit (LACSS 2026)
1–2 October 2026 | Panama City, Panama

IEEE members across Latin America and the Caribbean are invited to join LACSS 2026, the second IEEE Latin America & the Caribbean Semiconductor Summit.

Hosted by Panama SmartIEEE Region 9, the IEEE Panama Section, and IEEE-USA, LACSS brings together leaders from academia, industry, and government to explore how semiconductors can become a catalyst for innovation, technological development, and economic growth across our region.

Over two days, the Summit will address key questions for Latin America and the Caribbean, including:

  • How can the region develop the talent required by the semiconductor industry?
  • Where can Latin America build competitive technology and manufacturing capabilities?
  • How can universities and industry work together more effectively?
  • What role can international partnerships play in building lasting local capacity?
  • What policies, investments, and regional strategies are needed to strengthen Latin America’s participation in global semiconductor value chains?

LACSS 2026 will provide a unique opportunity to connect with experts, policymakers, researchers, industry leaders, and potential partners from across the region and beyond, while helping shape a more connected, resilient, and competitive semiconductor ecosystem for Latin America and the Caribbean.
