On the agenda: Aubrey and Mary are planning to continue where we left off at the last meeting with an update on the Jira stories they're writing for the preferences center and the digest,.

I'll also give a demo of a updated version of the eNotice Digest prototype. The update includes the Preferences Center, modeled on our earlier mockup. Features include:

  • Delivery frequency per unit — set each organizational unit (Region, Section, Chapters, Societies, affinity groups) to Immediate or a Daily / Weekly / Monthly digest; the main lever for reducing volume. The layout has been significantly improved over the mockup.
  • Exclude topics — a "Tags to Exclude" list (from the AI-generated hashtags) filters out subjects a member doesn't want.
  • ★ New — Priority Tags — mark topics you never want to miss; those eNotices arrive immediately, even from a unit you've batched into a digest and even if they'd otherwise be excluded (they still appear in your archive, flagged as priority). This lets members turn the volume down without fear of missing anything critical.
  • See the impact — an "Expected Emails per month" panel projects volume (overall and per unit) so trade-offs are clear before saving.
  • Navigation — a view picker switches between the eNotice Archive, the Preferences Center, and per-frequency digest previews (Daily/Weekly/Monthly). This view picker is specific to the prototype; it won't be part of a released production version.

Everything from the original still applies — AI summaries and hashtags, vTools Events API data, and the proof-of-concept caveats.
