Looking for a fun and educational family outing while supporting IEEE outreach in our community?

We are excited to invite you and your family to join us at the NC Gold Festival on Saturday, June 6th, where IEEE Charlotte Section will be hosting an outreach booth to engage the public and share the fascinating role of gold in electrical and electronics applications, along with information about IEEE and our STEM programs.

IEEE Booth: Open throughout the day

This is a wonderful opportunity to spend time with family, learn something new, and help IEEE inspire the next generation of engineers and innovators.

The festival will feature:
• Gold mining history and educational presentations
• Guided tours and expert speakers
• Live music
• Arts and crafts vendors
• Food vendors
• Gold prospecting equipment demonstrations
• Family-friendly activities
• Gold panning experiences
• Beautiful riverfront scenery

🍔 Food and refreshments will be available at the festival, and IEEE will also coordinate food for volunteers and attendees depending on participation and registration numbers.

Whether you can stay all day or stop by for a short visit, we would love to see you there. Please stop by the IEEE booth and introduce yourself.

NC Gold Festival

NC Gold Festival:  IEEE will have a booth at the Festival on Saturday June 6th to out reach to the community and share information about use of Gold in Electrical & Electronics Applications and share information about some of our Stem Activities. (If anyone with any specific experience the fields is available and would like to share knowledge please step up and participate)

The Festival is a Family Friendly Event.  The Gold Foundation will have speakers throughout the day doing tours and speaking about Gold Mining and the History of Goldmining in North Carolina.  There will be Live Music, Arts & Craft Vendors, Food Vendors and Gold Prospecting Product Vendors.  You can even try your have at panning for gold.  There is a beautiful river there as well.  So come out and learn about Gold in North Carolina.
