Dear INSERT_FIRST_NAME,

The IEEE Inbox Detox Working Group is on a mission to improve how you receive and manage broadcast email from IEEE. Examples of broadcast email are announcements, event invitations, and newsletters that are sent to a large group of recipients simultaneously. Our goal is to ensure that the communications you receive are relevant, manageable, and valuable to your professional life.

In the short term, our efforts are focused specifically on IEEE eNotice communications—the broadcast emails you receive from your local Sections, Chapters, and Affinity Groups, as well as some Societies and Technical Councils. While we are starting with eNotices, we plan to potentially expand these solutions to other types of IEEE broadcast email in the future.

We have developed several potential solutions, such as consolidated digests and improved preference centers, to help reduce email overload for eNotices, and we need your help to evaluate them.

Your feedback is critical to helping us determine which solutions are most effective and intuitive for our members. Specifically, we are looking for your perspective on:

  • Effectiveness: Would these solutions help you manage your eNotice inbox?

  • User Experience: How easy and intuitive are the proposed tools to use?

  • Relevance: Do these solutions help ensure you only get the eNotices you care about?

The survey should take no more than 10 minutes to complete and includes a brief demographic section so we can better understand the needs of members in different Regions and Societies.
