Call for Nominations for the Positions in the Executive Committee of the IEEE Computer Society Sri Lanka, for the Year 2026/2027
On behalf of the election committee of IEEE Computer Society Sri Lanka, I, Vidura Bandara, secretary for the year 2025/2026, will accept nominations for the following elected executive officer positions of the IEEE Computer Society Sri Lanka for the term from April 2026 to March 2027.
- Vice Chair (Chair-Elect)
- Secretary
- Treasurer
- Assistant Secretary
- Assistant Treasurer
- Editor
- Women in Computing Activities
- Student Activities
- Young Professionals Activities
Eligibility:
- A nominee must be a Member, Senior Member, Life Member, Fellow, or Graduate Student Member of IEEE belonging to the IEEE Sri Lanka Section, holding a valid IEEE Computer Society Membership.
- Nominees should be able to provide additional verification documents,s such as employer ID, and graduate enrollment to confirm membership status if requested bythe Nominating Committee.
- Self-nominations will not be accepted.
- Each nomination must be supported by at least 2 current IEEE Computer Society members of Graduate-Student member or higher grade, belonging to the IEEE Sri Lanka Section.
Submission Details:
All nominations must be submitted using the following Google form by 11:59 PM on Monday, 24th February, 2026.

Please note that the current Vice Chair (Chair-Elect) for 2025/2026, Prof. Supunmali Ahangama, will assume the role of Chair for 2026/2027. The current Chair for 2025/2026, Prof. Pradeep Abeyagunwardhana, will serve as Immediate Past Chair
