 6:00 pm Presentation Amanda Pryce MIEAust CPEng NER – ‘Riding the Renaissance Wave’

 Ms Amanda Pryce was the Engineers Australia winner of Young Professional Engineer of the year 2016.

 As industries everywhere are being disrupted, engineers of today need to think about “what’s next”. The engineers of tomorrow aren’t just technical specialists in their limited field, they are “Renaissance people” who have a broad skillset and an open mind, and are diverse in their backgrounds, cultures, genders, experience and thought. Follow Amanda’s engineering journey and how she sees the future of engineering in a changing world.

 Ms Amanda Pryce is a Senior Structural Engineer with Aurecon. She was a key member of the structural design team for the iconic Perth Arena and has spent time in Christchurch working on the rebuilding works following the devastating Canterbury earthquakes. Recently she has taken on the role of regional design leader for Aurecon for the Department of Defence Program Delivery Services. She is passionate about inspiring the next generation of engineers, and volunteers as a coordinator for the Engineers Australia EngTalk program.

 EECON 2016 National Conference on Electric Energy was held in November 2016 with a poster paper competition for WA Universities Undergraduate on any aspect of Electrical Energy. The winners will share their poster papers and accept their prizes as winners of the competition.
