Dear Colleagues,
It is our great pleasure to welcome you to the 2026 IEEE International Conference on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics (SMC 2026, https://www.ieeesmc2026.org), to be held from October 4 to 7, 2026, in the vibrant city of Bellevue, WA, USA.
Conference theme: Human-Centric Intelligence: Shaping the Digital Future.
The IEEE SMC 2026 conference is the flagship conference of the IEEE Systems, Man, and Cybernetics (SMC) Society. It will bring leading experts from academia, industry, and government to explore how cutting-edge advancements in systems science, human-machine interaction, and cybernetics can drive meaningful progress for humanity. The conference will serve as a vital forum to discuss the challenges and opportunities of designing intelligent systems that prioritize human well-being and societal benefit.
This year’s program, featuring keynote talks, panel discussions, technical sessions, poster presentations, and social networking opportunities, is designed to inspire, challenge, and connect participants. From cyber-physical-social systems and artificial intelligence to cognitive computing, robotics, autonomous systems, and cybersecurity, the conference will explore a broad spectrum of topics shaping the future of intelligent, human-centric systems.
Submissions should align with the three main conference areas of
-
Systems Science and Engineering
-
Human-Machine Systems
-
Cybernetics
Additional Calls
-
Special Sessions: Proposals for special sessions that focus on cutting-edge topics are welcome.
-
Tutorials and Workshops: We invite proposals for tutorials and workshops that provide in-depth learning opportunities.
-
BMI Workshop: Join the Brain-Machine Interface (BMI) Workshop to exchange ideas and foster innovation in this rapidly evolving field.
Submission Categories
-
Regular papers (regular, special sessions and workshops, 6 pages) should provide complete and high-quality contributions to the field.
-
Short Papers (work-in-progress and industrial, 4 pages) are expected to cover recent research outcomes that are not yet mature enough for a regular paper but still provide novel insights.
Submission Guidelines
-
Full paper submissions must be in English and prepared in the standard IEEE Conference Proceedings format.
-
Manuscripts should be formatted in letter size (8.5 x 11 inches). Please refer to the online Call for Papers for detailed formatting instructions: https://www.ieeesmc2026.org/call-for-papers
