In accordance with the by-laws, further nominations can be made by petition. To be valid, the petition must be signed by more than 2% of the section membership, which is at least 3 people (we currently have 150 members and 130 voting members).

Based on the by-laws, a minimum of 28 days is allowed for additional nominations by petition. However, the by-laws also state that Elections must be held by 1st of December. We are therefore asking that petitions be submitted by November 25th to the Nominations and Appointments Committee (kitfai.pun@uwi.edu; richard.small@classonesystems.com; jason.ramsingh@gmail.com). If there is any concern with this, please contact me, or reply to this email.

Positions with only one nomination will be confirmed at the Annual Meeting in January. Positions with more than one nomination will then head to elections. Elections will then be held via electronic voting using vTools as required by the IEEE MGA (Member and Geographic Activities).
