Dear IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society Members:

Building on the tremendous success of the first LACAP, in December 2024, in Cartagena, Columbia, IEEE AP-S is delighted to announce the 2nd edition of the IEEE Latin American Conference on Antennas and Propagation, LACAP 2026. The Conference will take place in the Praiamar Hotel & Convention in Natal, Brazil, during February 22-25, 2026 (paper submission deadline: November 20, 2026). The 2nd IEEE AP-S LACAP represents a significant opportunity to promote knowledge exchange, collaboration, education, regional development, and global visibility in the field. By bringing together stakeholders from across Latin America and beyond, LACAP can contribute to advancing the frontiers of antennas and propagation research and technology while addressing the specific needs and aspirations of the Latin American scientific community.

For more details, see the attached Call For Papers below.

The venue, Natal, located on Brazil’s northeastern coast, is a captivating city known for its stunning beaches, year-round sunshine, and welcoming atmosphere. Often referred to as the “City of the Sun,” Natal blends natural beauty with cultural heritage, offering visitors golden sand dunes, crystal-clear waters, and landmarks like the Forte dos Reis Magos. Its modern infrastructure, vibrant local culture, and strategic coastal location make it an appealing destination for both tourism and international events.

LACAP 2026 consists of technical sessions, special sessions and invited talks. Additionally, LACAP 2026 will feature Latin America AP-S Chapters meeting, Young Professionals event, networking, Women in Engineering initiatives, and IEEE AP-S SIGHT/COPE humanitarian projects.

We are thrilled to introduce an exceptional lineup of keynote speakers for LACAP 2026:

The exhibition hall at LACAP 2026 will showcase the latest trends and products in hardware, software, and services related to Antennas and Propagation. Participants from industry, government, and academia will present their innovations, providing a comprehensive overview of the field.

Our social program is crafted to provide you and your families with an unforgettable experience in Natal, one of Brazil’s most stunning coastal cities. The schedule blends relaxation, adventure, and networking opportunities to enrich your conference journey.

Highlights include a welcome cocktail, a social dinner with an awards presentation, and a final networking event featuring guided visits to Natal’s most iconic sites—such as the Morro do Careca, the Genipabu dunes, and the historic Forte dos Reis Magos.

In addition, a variety of daily tours and cultural activities will be available for all attendees and their guests, ensuring a memorable and engaging experience for everyone.
