IEEE NL WIE Lunch & Learn - Growing with STEM
🌟 The IEEE NL Section Women in Engineering (WIE) invites you to a special talk titled “Growing with STEM” by Kathryn Hong, Coordinator of Outreach Activities, Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science, Memorial University.

This session aligns with the mission of WIE MANGA: motivating and engaging youth in STEM through creativity and storytelling.

Kathryn Hong - Coordinator of Outreach Activities
Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science
Memorial University of Newfoundland
Kathryn Hong is the Coordinator for Outreach Activities with Memorial University’s Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science and has led Memorial Engineering Outreach since joining the Faculty in 2013. Building Memorial Engineering Outreach from the ground up, she has been instrumental in the development of a wide variety of youth outreach initiatives including summer camps, school and community workshops, public engagement events, weekend engineering clubs and afterschool programming. Kathryn’s goal is to allow youth in Newfoundland and Labrador to not only learn about engineering, but to experience and be inspired by engineering through meaningful, hands-on activities. Making science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) programming accessible to youth is of paramount importance. Kathryn’s background in education and small business management complements her role and her success is driven by her dedication to helping youth see their full potential.
