Dear IEEE Region 8 students,
The IEEE Region 8 Student Activities Committee (SAC) Ad-hoc Committee on Student Experience Portfolio Initiatives is pleased to announce the launch of the IEEE Region 8 Student Publicity Academy — an online training program designed to empower student volunteers involved in design, publicity, communication, and digital media within IEEE Student Units.
This three-month program (November 2025 – January 2026) will include 10 interactive online sessions, hands-on creative assignments, and peer collaboration. Participants will explore three key learning modules:
- Design and Visual Communication Foundations
- Branding, Identity, and Marketing
- Storytelling, New Media, and Innovation
Through this academy, we aim to build a community of creative and skilled students who can enhance the visibility and professionalism of IEEE Student Units, ensuring strong, consistent, and impactful communication across Region 8. Participants will gain valuable experience in design, branding, storytelling, and new media — skills that extend beyond IEEE and support personal and professional growth.
The program is open to IEEE Student Members and Graduate Student Members residing in Region 8 (Europe, Middle East, and Africa), with priority given to students currently serving in publicity, design, or communication roles within their IEEE units.
