This year, the event is over two days – including an exciting workshop on Day 2 led by Platinum Sponsor National Grid who will be setting challenges and picking the best solutions for a real-world case study.

𝗦𝘆𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘂𝗺 𝗗𝗮𝘆 (𝟲 𝗡𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱)
On day 1 of MEEPS 2025, participants will engage in 𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 delivered by researchers from across the UK and around the world. The programme will feature 𝗸𝗲𝘆𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗲 𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗸𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗰𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝗻𝗱𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘆 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘁𝘀, complemented by an 𝗲𝘅𝗵𝗶𝗯𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗮 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘄𝗰𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗯𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗶𝗻𝗱𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘆 𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗼𝗿𝘀. 𝗡𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 will be available throughout the day during the lunch and tea breaks. The day will conclude with the presentation of 𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗼𝗿-𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀 recognising the Best Poster Presentation and the Best Oral Presentation. Abstract submissions are welcome from 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗿𝘀, including postdoctoral, PhD, and MSc! We accept work that is already published or is intended to be published in future conferences/journals.
𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽 𝗗𝗮𝘆 (𝟳 𝗡𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱)
Day 2 of MEEPS 2025 will feature 𝗸𝗲𝘆𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗲 𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗸𝘀 delivered by experts from National Grid, 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝘂𝗺 𝗶𝗻𝗱𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘆 𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗼𝗿. Attendees will take part in a collaborative group workshop focused on 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹-𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝗮𝘀𝗲-𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝘆, offering not only a hands-on opportunity to apply knowledge but also a valuable snapshot of the type of work being undertaken in industry today. The day will conclude with the presentation of the National Grid-𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 for the best case study solution, judged by a National Grid representative alongside an academic expert from the University of Manchester.
