Abstract (short):
Using a simple laser-and-camera setup, speckle-based analysis of backscattered light enables non-contact motion and vibration monitoring without external interferometry. Dr. Beiderman will show how AI-enhanced signal reconstruction supports identification and classification of biomedical conditions (e.g., coagulation issues, diabetes, abnormal heart sounds) and discuss industrial applications such as remote vibration monitoring and microscopic movement extraction. 

About the speaker:
Dr. Beiderman is a researcher at HIT with 40+ publications, 2 book chapters, and 8 patents, and has led the development of advanced medical and industrial sensing technologies.
