2025 JOINT SARIG IEEE AES10/GRS29 MINI CONFERENCE

The South African Radar Interest Group (SARIG) was established in 2008 and has been hosting national Radar conferences (full day) and mini Radar conferences (half day) since 2014.

SARIG, in conjunction with IEEE AES10/GRS29, is hosting a free hybrid mini-conference on 09 September 2025 at the University of Cape Town and virtually using MS Teams. Please RSVP by the dates indicated in the attached flyer. The exact venue at UCT and virtual link will be provided in the build up to the event.

The morning session will be a round table discussion including academics, industry partners and young professionals in South Africa and will be followed by the mini conference in the afternoon. The mini conference will provide an opportunity for students, academics, young professionals and industry partners to present on exciting topics in radar which they are working on.

Please indicate in the registration form if you would like to present at the mini conference. Please take note that the RSVP deadline for presentations is 17 August 2025.

The day will conclude with a memorial for the late Emeritus Professor Michael Inggs who made a significant contribution to Radar in South Africa. Michael Inggs was a former Region 8 AESS chapter chair and secretary up until his passing. We would like to take this opportunity to honour what he meant to our community. Please RSVP using the link in the attached memorial invitation.
