This keynote, titled “Sustainable Power Electronics: Integrating Environmental Responsibility into Design”, will be delivered by Prof. Kamal Al-Haddad, IEEE Life Fellow and Senior Canada Research Chair in Electric Energy Conversion and Power Electronics.
About the Keynote:
This talk will explore how environmental sustainability can be integrated into the design and development of power electronics systems. It will highlight the importance of moving beyond performance and cost metrics to embrace eco-design principles, from material selection to manufacturing, efficiency, recyclability, and end-of-life management.
