Dear IEEE PES PT Chapter Member,

We are pleased to announce the opening of the electoral process that will yield the next Officers of IEEE Portugal Power and Energy Society Chapter, for the term 2026-2027.

Until August 21^st, 2025, you are invited to submit your nomination. In line with IEEE recommendations and practice, we welcome nominations of candidates for single positions, i.e., not in list format. The ballots will present all candidates for each position, and voters will cast their votes for each individual. The mandatory positions are:

1. Chair
2. Vice-Chair(s)
3. Secretary
4. Treasurer

The offices of Secretary and Treasurer may be combined (i.e., one single person can apply for Secretary/Treasurer).

Nominations for single positions must be sent to elections@ieee-pt.org, accompanied by the following information:

1. Candidate's full name;
2. Candidate IEEE member number;
3. Candidate biography and activity proposal for the biennium (maximum 1000 characters);
4. Candidate photo.

The information should be formatted as a text document (Microsoft Word .doc or .docx or LibreOffice .odt), and the photo should be sent in JPEG or PNG format. All candidates should comply with the eligibility requirements set forth by IEEE. Please use the template at IEEE PT Biography.

After the applications are received and accepted, the information on these applications will be sent by email to all voting members of the IEEE Portugal Power and Energy Society Chapter.

The elections will take place between September 14th, 2025 and October 6th, 2025 (both included), and members will vote electronically using the IEEE vTools system. All information regarding candidates and voting procedures will be sent via email to all members once the election process begins.
