2026 IEEE Region 8 Student Paper Contest – Call For Papers
Dear IEEE Region 8 Student Branch Chairs and Counselors,
We are thrilled to invite all active IEEE Region 8 Student Branches to participate in the 2026 IEEE Region 8 Student Paper Contest (SPC)! Now is the perfect time to identify outstanding research conducted by undergraduate and postgraduate students (excluding doctoral-level work) and encourage them to submit their papers for this prestigious contest.
Authors of the top five papers (one author per paper) will be invited to participate in the SPC Oral Finals, organized within the scope of the 2026 IEEE ENERGYCON conference, taking place from October 27 to 29 in Paris, France. Their travel and conference expenses will be covered by IEEE Region 8.
There are extraordinary cash prizes:
🥇 First Place: $800 (plus $250 for the winner’s Student Branch)
🥈 Second Place: $500
🥉 Third Place: $200
The top five papers will be published in the conference proceedings and included in IEEE Xplore. Kindly note that the research areas of this call can fall under any IEEE-related field and are not limited by the conference topic.
