IEEE WPTCE 2025: The Global Wireless Power Community Gathers in Rome

From June 3 to 6, 2025, the IEEE Wireless Power Technology Conference and Expo (WPTCE 2025) will be held at the Faculty of Civil and Industrial Engineering at Sapienza University of Rome. Recognized as the flagship international event in the field of wireless power transfer (WPT), WPTCE 2025 is organized by IEEE PELS, MTT-S, and the IEEE WPT Initiative, with technical co-sponsorship from EMC-S, IAS, IES, and the Magnetics Society and cooperation with AP-S.

Chaired by Professors Mauro Feliziani and Francesca Maradei, the conference will welcome more than 400 attendees from 42 countries and feature over 230 peer-reviewed technical papers. The program will include technical sessions, workshops, tutorials, an industrial exhibition, a WPT School for PhD students and young researchers, a student design competition, and keynote lectures by world-leading experts, including Akimasa Hirata, Alberto Sangiovanni Vincentelli, Volker Ziegler, Chris Mi, Zoya Popovic, Duan Baoyan, and Greg Durgin.

Topics will encompass a broad spectrum of near- and far-field WPT applications across a wide range of power levels, including dynamic charging for electric vehicles, consumer electronics, biomedical implants, sensors, aerospace systems, wireless communications, and space-based solar power.

All events will take place in the iconic Renaissance cloister of Sapienza University, in the heart of Rome. A memorable social program will complement the technical agenda, offering delegates a unique experience in the Eternal City.
