As part of our planning activities for the 2029 edition of the International Electric Machines and Drives Conference (IEMDC 2029), we are now seeking expressions of interest from members interested in hosting the conference. 

IEMDC is a premier international forum for the exchange of expertise and innovative ideas in the design, operation, analysis, optimization, and applications of electric machines, drive systems, and their associated power electronics and controls. Co-sponsored by 4 IEEE societies including PELS, IAS, IES, and PES, IEMDC is a biennial conference hosting in the odd number of years, and IEMDC-2025 will be hosted later this month in Houston, USA. Attached is an article introducing IEMDC, authored by Dr. Andy Knight, in case you would like to know more about this flagship conference.

Hosting IEMDC 2029 conference is a prestigious opportunity to showcase your institution and contribute significantly to our technical community.  If you are interested in submitting a proposal, we kindly ask you to prepare a brief presentation (a few slides) addressing the following key information:

• Proposed location and venue
• Tentative dates
• Local organizing team and affiliations
• Tentative Budget
• Previous experience (if any) in hosting similar events
