The Innovate & Investigate Research Paper Study Challenge is an exciting opportunity for engineering students to develop critical research skills by analyzing, summarizing, and presenting key insights from a research paper of their choice. The contest aims to encourage students to engage with cutting-edge research, improve their analytical thinking, and enhance their presentation skills.

Eligibility:

•    Open to all engineering students (UG/PG) from any recognized institution.

•    Participants can compete individually or in teams of two.

Contest Timeline:

📚 Research Paper Selection & Study Phase: Till 28th February 2025

📩 Submission Deadline: 28th February 2025

🎤 Final Presentation & Winner Announcement: 1st March 2025

Process & Guidelines:

Step 1: Registration

•   Interested students can register online, starting from 5th February 2025.

•   They must provide details including name, college, branch, and year of study.

Step 2: Research Paper Selection

•    Participants will be provided a few papers, and they will have to choose any 02 chapters 

Step 3: Study & Analysis

•    Participants analyze the paper, focusing on:

o    Problem Statement

o    Research Methodology

o    Key Findings & Contributions

o    Strengths & Limitations

o    Future Scope

Step 4: Presentation Preparation

•    Create a detailed PowerPoint presentation (10-15 slides) summarizing the research paper.

•    Ensure clarity, visuals, and structured content.

Step 5: Submission

•    Submit the PowerPoint Presentation (PPT) and a summary document (PDF, 2-3 pages) via this form before 28 Feb 2025: https://forms.gle/NqktR5EoTJnAhuRD8

Step 6: Final Contest (20th February 2025)

•    Shortlisted participants will present their findings live (online or offline).

•    A jury of experts will evaluate and select winners.

Judging Criteria:

🔍 Depth of Analysis (30%)—How well the paper is understood and analyzed.

🎤 Presentation Clarity (25%)—Structure, visuals, and clarity of explanation.

💡 Critical Thinking (20%)—Identifying strengths, limitations, and future scope.

📖 Relevance & Innovation (15%)—Importance of the research in real-world applications.

🕒 Time Management (10%)—Adherence to time constraints during presentation.

🏆 1st Prize: ₹1000 + Certificate of Excellence

🥈 2nd Prize: ₹750 + Certificate of Achievement

🥉 3rd Prize: ₹500 + Certificate of Merit

🎓 Top 10 Participants will receive Certificates of Participation

Additionally, winning presentations will be featured on the event website and social media.

Contest Policies & Rules:

1.    Original Work – Participants must study the research paper themselves and not copy existing summaries.

2. Plagiarism-Free—Any plagiarism (including AI-generated content without attribution) will result in disqualification.

3. Time Limit—Each presentation should be 7-10 minutes, followed by a Q&A session.

4. Professional Conduct—Participants must adhere to academic integrity and ethical research standards.
