Space Power: Solar in Space
Space technology has long been at the forefront of human innovation. From memory foam to GPS, space technology is ubiquitous in our daily lives, but might it soon also become an integral source of global energy production?
Join us at the University of Strathclyde to learn about the innovative SOLSPACE research project from the University of Glasgow which aims to harvest solar power in orbit for use on Earth.
Joining us on the panel will be;
- Professor Colin McInnes - Professor of Engineering Science at the University of Glasgow
- Hercules Wessels - Researcher at University of Edinburgh Law School and Legal Advisor
- Dr Rachael Craufurd Smith - Reader in EU Law at The University of Edinburgh
- Dr Waqquas Bukhsh - Lecturer In Ad Opt & D S Power Systems at The University of Strathclyde
Our panel will discuss the potential benefits as well as practical implications and challenges of integrating such innovative energy solutions into our existing infrastructure.
Whether you are a space engineer, electrical engineer or are just interested in the domain, join the conversation the 25th November from 4:30-6:30pm. Refreshments will be provided during the after-event networking session.
