Dear IEEE Egypt AP-S/MTT-S Joint Chapter Members,

Following the announcement done by appointing IEEE Egypt AP-S/MTT-S Joint Chapter nominating committee to start the IEEE Egypt AP-S/MTT-S Joint Chapter elections. The committee is pleased to announce the commencement of the call for nominations as stated below to be able to have a new IEEE Egypt AP-S/MTT-S Joint Chapter committee in November 2024.

On behalf of the IEEE Egypt AP-S/MTT-S Joint Chapter nominations committee, it’s our pleasure to introduce the whole elections process to you, in case you have any questions; thanks to send them to elections@ieee.org.eg.

Please spend some time reading the following instructions carefully, if you are interested to apply:

· The following IEEE Egypt AP-S/MTT-S Joint Chapter positions are the scope of the elections process for the term (2025 – 2027):

o  Chair

o  Vice Chair

o  Secretary

o  Treasurer

·  The newly elected IEEE Egypt AP-S/MTT-S Joint Chapter committee will be elected for two years term (2025 – 2026)

·  The term will end by 31st of December 2026

·  Eligibility:

• The eligible IEEE Egypt AP-S/MTT-S Joint Chapter candidates and voters in this election are those who are:
• An active IEEE member of Graduate Student Member grade or higher for a minimum of 6 months.
• IEEE Egypt Section Active members with grade (Graduate Student Member, Member and Senior member).
• IEEE AP-S members and/or IEEE MTT-S members.

· The Elections Committee consists of the following members:

• Prof. Ahmed Madian, IEEE Egypt Section Chair (Committee Chair)
• Prof. Mohamed Saeed Darweesh, IEEE Egypt Section Secretary

·   Elections committee members are not allowed to nominate themselves for any position.

If you are willing to nominate yourself or someone else, Thanks to prepare the candidate biography in English in PDF format and a self-explanatory presentation (maximum 8-10 slides) in both PPTX and show formats. The presentation can be accessed via this link and should enclose the following:

o    Personal Photo.

o    Short Biography in English.

o    Activities with IEEE Egypt AP-S/MTT-S Joint Chapter or any IEEE entity you volunteered with.

o    Your main three objectives if you got the position.

o    Your action plan to continue and improve IEEE Egypt AP-S/MTT-S Joint Chapter activities.

You shall have ONE month (as per the time table below) to send your biography and presentation to the Nominating committee with email to elections@ieee.org.eg with subject that includes your name, your IEEE membership number and the position you are seeking.

· The Nominating Committee shall verify the candidates' eligibility and willingness to serve.

· The Nominating Committee shall also gather position statements and biographies of the potential candidates, as appropriate.

· The Nominating Committee will select from all such submissions candidates for each position elected at-large and submit the slate of at least two but not more than three candidates for each position where applicable.

We do encourage all active IEEE Egypt AP-S/MTT-S Joint Chapter members and volunteers to submit their nominations.

· Elections Timetable:

o   Call for Nominations: 15 of September 2024 till 13 of October 2024 11:59 PM (GMT+3) --->>> We are Here!!!

o   Slate of Candidates Announcement: 15 of October 2024

o   Election Days - Online Voting: 24 of October 2024 to 30 of October 2024

o   Elected Committee Members Announcement: 1 of November 2024

o   The new committee members will start their term from 1 January 2025 till 31 December 2026.
