There are still some places remaining to be filled on the IEEE UK and Ireland Solid-State Circuits Society (SSC) Chapter 2024 Elections Committee. 

There is a limited time commitment required by members of the Chapter Elections Committee:
•    participate in briefing meeting to approve role descriptions, application form and eNotice for call for nominations
•    after 30 days review applications received and participate in meeting of Elections Committee Members only to prepare slate of candidates for each role
•    participate in meeting with Chapter chair to approve slate
•    The Elections Committee Teller sets up the approved slate in the ballot in VTools, launches voting and confirms the election result after the voting deadline has passed. 

We look forward to hearing from chapter members who wish to serve the Chapter in this volunteer role by Friday 20 September.

Dear IEEE UK and Ireland Solid-State Circuits Society Chapter Members, 

The IEEE UK and Ireland Solid-State Circuits Society (SSC) Chapter is currently establishing a 2024 SSC Chapter Elections Committee to facilitate SSC Chapter Officer Elections. This election will be launched once the 2024 SSC Chapter Elections Committee has been established. 

The 2024 SSC Chapter Elections Committee will comprise of 3 Solid-State Circuits Society Chapter Members in UK and Ireland, who are not current SSCS Chapter Committee Members and who are not putting themselves forward for consideration for the slate of officer positions.

Serving on the SSC Chapter Elections Committee is quite straightforward and is not time intensive.

• A call for Nominations is issued to all voting SSC Chapter Members across the Section. Interested candidates should submit a position statement and biography highlighting relevant skills and experience within one month.
• Candidates for officer positions (Chair, Vice-Chair, Secretary/Treasurer) must be current IEEE and SSC Members of IEEE Graduate Student Member, Member, Senior Member, Life Member or Fellow grade.
• The 2024 SSC Chapter Elections Committee verify the candidates’ eligibility and willingness to serve and prepare a slate of eligible candidates for consideration by the entire UK and Ireland SSC Chapter Membership for each officer position.
• The slate is set up in the IEEE vTools Voting system, with a link to vote electronically circulated to all voting SSC Members, votes are collected from the system and outcome of the election will shared with all candidates and SSC Chapter members.

2024 SSC Chapter Election Committee Members will receive a full briefing on the Election processes to be followed once appointed.
