IEEE Hamilton Annual General Meeting Sat Nov 26, 2016 6pm

Dear valued member of IEEE Hamilton Section,

Thank you for being a part of this important community in a worldwide organization that helps to keep the electrical world connected and affects essentially all of the convenient electronic and software tools we use to do our jobs and live our lives.  The IEEE helps to serve humanity by moving important innovations forward to continually impact our society.

This year the AGM is being held at the Royal Botanical Gardens Headquarters in Burlington, Ontario. We invite you to attend the AGM to connect in person to others who believe in the important work of the IEEE. This is wonderful way to network in an intimate setting over dinner. Meet old friends and colleagues and establish new friendships and business connections.

A highlight of the AGM this year is our speaker, Annyse Balkwill, P.Eng. from The LuminUS Group. She has an extensive background in the water industry where she worked for over at decade at ZENON and then GE Water & Process Technologies. She now has her own business where she helps organizations create space where creativity and innovation can flourish. She also speaks, teaches and coaches about Leadership. She will be focusing on leadership, specifically charting the course from our expert mindset to a leadership mindset. She believes this is important at all levels, in all organizations and has seen the impact of individuals shifting their mindset. Please refer to her bio which is attached for more background about Annyse. It doesn’t matter whether you are a student, new graduate, seasoned practicing engineer, or a non-technical person, you will come away from this evening with some tools and ideas that will help you lead a richer and more satisfying life.

The venue is small and there are only 50 tickets available, many of which are sold, so get your ticket soon to connect with this great community and to renew your curiosity about your leadership potential. Good food, good company and thought-provoking discussion. How could you miss it?
