Dear committee members, please find below the details of the current status of Overleaf:
The arrangement IEEE had negotiated with Overleaf which started in 2015 to support authoring features in Collabratec is coming to an end. Overleaf has increased its pricing dramatically and adjustments had to be made. The following agreement was struck:> IEEE Higher Grade Members will continue to receive Overleaf Premium> IEEE Student members (undergraduate and graduate), Associate grade members, and IEEE Affiliates will be transitioned to the free version of Overleaf on 31 March> All IEEE members who did not renew their 2024 membership will be transitioned to the free version of Overleaf on 31 MarchFree Overleaf accounts allow for one user plus one collaborator per project on an unlimited number of projects. Users downgraded to free access will lose the ability to have an unlimited number of collaborators on new projects and premium features. Those converted to the free version will not lose access to any of their files or collaborators for projects they started before the deactivation period. Users will be prompted to make a purchase decision for any new projects if they would like to invite collaborators or use the premium features mentioned above.
I hope this information helps.
Regards,
