To the Members of Italy Chapter EMB-18, IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society

Dear Member,

it is my honor and pleasure to communicate that the procedures for the Election of new Executive Committee Members for EMB-18, Italy Chapter, have been completed.

In a previous e-notice you were informed that the newly Elected Executive Committee, which will be on charge in the period 2024-2026, is constituted by:

Anna Maria Bianchi, Politecnico di Milano, Chapter Chair

Roberto Sassi, Università di Milano, Chapter Vice-Chair

Luca Faes, Università di Palermo, Secretary and Treasurer

On behalf of the former Executive Committee, I wish to express my heartily congratulations to the newly elected Committee. An evident generational change has been clearly manifested and this is certainly a good sign for a bright continuation and future developments of the Chapter which is now composed by more than 300 Members, more than 1/3 constituted by women. 

For many years, I have served as Chapter Chair, by encouraging a factive international presence inside IEEE and namely EMB Society. I am sure that the new Committee will be able to cope with the challenging developments of Engineering in Medicine and Biology environments.

A great "thank" to all the colleagues who have cooperated with us in these years and also to the Election Committe, constituted by Giuseppe Baselli, Luisa Astolfi e Pasquale Scilingo who took care of their task in a very efficient way.
