Arduino Workshop

Arduino Workshop
Hello all IEEE Members,
Arduino Workshop is back this year!
NUS-IEEE and NUS-IES, with sponsorship from IEEE Young Professionals, are proud to present this opportunity for you to learn and tinker with Arduino, so you can build your personal robot*.
*not necessarily be humanoid in shape.
What is Arduino?
Arduino is a versatile open-source robotics microcontroller which can be used to control robots, design light shows, open your doors automatically and manage 3D printing.
Here is a youtube video introducing what Arduino is like and about: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_h1m6R9YW8c
Pre-requisites for the workshop
No prior knowledge about electronics or programming is necessary, but those who took or are taking CS1010 will find what they have learned applicable to this workshop.
Benefits for participating
The instructors of this Arduino Workshop will comprehensively cover all you can do with your Arduino Uno R3; so not only you will understand how to use each component, but also have ideas how to tinker with your Arduino.
Our instructors for this workshop are Dr Rajesh Panicker and Dr Chua Dingjuan, two lecturers from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) who have helped in conducting similar courses about Arduino in the past.
If you think you have not learned enough from our instructors, or if you are still facing problems after the workshop, we will be continuing our support via a post-workshop feedback and FAQ. We will address technical problems that you face and provide you with an Arduino Handbook where you can find out more about Arduino. So whether you are a fast-learner or facing an Arduino riddled with bugs, you will still have fun with Arduino.
Last but not least, all participants will be able to take home their very own Arduino Uno boards and accessory packs.
I’m interested! How to register?

Refreshments will be served during the break.
Due to the limited number of vacancies, sign-ups will be on first-come-first-served basis. You will need to indicate your availability at http://tinyurl.com/signupforarduino. If you cannot come for either workshop but just want to purchase Arduino Uno R3 boards and/or accessory packs, kindly indicate in the same sign-up form accordingly (while stocks last).
For any queries, please email to arduino@nus.ieee.org.
So mark the Saturday afternoons on your calendars, and looking forward to see you in action!
Thank you!
