About iOS:

iOS is the world’s most advanced mobile operating system, and it’s the foundation of iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. It comes with a collection of apps and features that let you do the everyday things, and the not-so-everyday things, in ways that are intuitive, simple and fun.

As of January 2015, Apple's App Store contained more than 1.4 million iOS applications. These Mobile Ap ps have collectively been downloaded more than 100 billion times. Apple’s iOS has come a long way.

About Swift:

Swift, created by Chris Lattner, the same person who wrote LLVM is a general-purpose, multi-paradigm, compiled programming language created for iOS, macOS, watchOS, tvOS and Linux developed by Apple Inc.

Swift is designed to work with Apple's Cocoa and Cocoa Touch frameworks and the large body of existing Objective-C code written for Apple products. Swift is intended to be more resilient to erroneous code (safer) than Objective-C, and more concise. It is built with the LLVM compiler framework.

Swift is an alternative to the Objective-C language that employs modern programming-language theory concepts and strives to present a simpler syntax. During its introduction, it was described simply as "Objective-C without the C
