Dear Student:
The IEEE SoutheastCon 2023 will take place in Orlando, FL between April 13-16, 2023. We are looking
forward having you present your research b participating in its Student Presentation Competition.
The student presentation competition will have three categories: a) Undergraduate, b) Masters, and c)
Doctoral presentations. Each category will have three award levels: first, second, and third. Students in
each category will be judged by a separate panel of judges. Students participating in the presentation
competition will have to submit an abstract in the template provided for the presentation which is due
on Feb 28, 2023. The abstract will be reviewed, and selected candidates will be notified of the
acceptance of the abstract by March 10, 2023. The abstract will have one student author. Multiple
student authors per presentation will not be allowed. The selected students will be required to provide a
15-minute presentation of their project at the conference. All presentation will be carried out in person.

Students who want to participate in Eta Kappa Nu (IEEE-HKN) competition must have already submitted
a regular paper with the student as the first author. This paper if accepted can be presented virtually or
in-person. The Eta Kappa Nu competition must not be confused with the student presentation
competition.
