STUDENT SCHOLARSHIP

Great Opportunity for Student Members!

IEEE Puerto Rico Pesti Prominent Student Scholarship

$1000 Scholarship Award (5 awards annually)

The purpose of this scholarship is to recognize promising engineers students that are following a career in STEM within Puerto Rico universities.

Eligibility:

IEEE Student Member

A full-time student who has completed 1 year of undergraduate study in an engineering curriculum at a university or college of Puerto Rico.

A full-time student who is currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate engineering curriculum at a university or college of Puerto Rico.

Application:

500-1000 word essay on Why the applicant should receive the scholarship.

Resume or CV

Evidence of at least 3.2 - 4.0 GPA (3.2 minimum GPA)

Letter of recommendation from an academic reference, such as Professor or Department Chair.

Applicants may apply multiple times but scholarship can be awarded one time only. The scholarship recipients will be selected by a joint selection committee from the IEEE PR&C and IEEE WPR Sections.

CALL FOR IES Committee

IES encompasses a diverse range of technical activities devoted to the application of electronics and electrical sciences for the enhancement of industrial and manufacturing processes. These technical activities address the latest developments in intelligent and computer control systems, robotics, factory communications, and automation, flexible manufacturing, data acquisition and signal processing, vision systems, and power electronics. The Society continually updates its program of technical activities to meet the needs of modern industry.

We only need 1 signature to approve the IES Chapter in the section. On July 7^th, 2022 IES members received an email from online petitions requesting a signature to open IEEE Industrial Electronic Society.
