 d or online).\n\nBenefits of IC-ESI competition\n\nGlobally\, a connectedn
 ess movement being sparked by the internet of things is opening the door f
 or the development of smart environments. Even though different environmen
 ts are taking different approaches to this high-tech trend\, common elemen
 ts like efficiency\, convenience\, and environmental consciousness all pla
 y significant roles. In this instance\, in an attempt to lessen their impa
 ct on the environment\, these smart environments are putting in place ways
  to track water usage\, electricity usage\, and more.\n\nThese eco-smart e
 nvironments offer intriguing high-level concepts to engage residents in ad
 dition to tracking and monitoring. One has to do with a rewards system tha
 t incentivizes residents of intelligent environments to make better decisi
 ons about their lives and health in addition to their own. This all-encomp
 assing method also considers the social media component.\n\nWho can partic
 ipate in this competition?\n\n- The IC-ESI competition has different level
 s for both international and national competitors:\n- Institutes\, College
 s\, and Universities (Government – National – Private – Technologica
 l).\n- Postgraduate Students in Institutes\, Colleges\, and Universities.\
 n- Secondary Schools (Government – STEM – Private – Technological).\
 n- Companies and Organizations.\n\n- Individuals or small groups of up to 
 ten students can form teams. All team members must attend the same high sc
 hool\, college\, or university.\n- Each school\, college\, or university m
 ay allow up to ten teams to participate.\n- The student(s) must compete in
  their respective category based on their age and the level/class they are
