IEEE-Madison Reminder: End-of-Year Virtual Social Event

Reminder:  Tuesday Virtual Meeting -- Please Register!

Special Year-End Virtual Social Meeting for LMAG and the Entire Madison Section

Also: "Who are Wisconsin's Famous Engineers and Scientists?"

EVERYONE IS WELCOME!

Event: 2020 has been an eventful, frightening year. IEEE-Madison has had to cut out the face-to-face meetings per local health guidelines. We all miss the social interactions of a face-to-face meeting. Please join us in a Virtual end-of-the-year Social meeting to discuss what happened and where we are headed. The Engineering Community has been key to adapting to the challenges this year, with Internet Connectivity and Virtual Meetings taking an important role in supporting a "locked-down" existence. How have you been coping with the pandemic and lockdown?

Also: Wisconsin has grown a number of Engineers and Scientists that have helped society. As a focus, let's discuss famous Wisconsin Scientists and Engineers that you feel should be recognized for their contributions. Chuck Cowie has been working with the Wisconsin Science Museum to develop a "Science Hall of Fame (https://wiscimuseum.org/science-hall-of-fame/)". The list has a number of Nobel laureate's. It has a number of scientists from the Biological Sciences but not as many Engineer, Computer and Physical Scientists. Be prepared to discuss some of your picks for who should be included.
